Gameplay

This page discusses the basic gameplay of META11

In META11, players are managed through a combination of AI powered performance and owner input.

  • Points are scored just like real world cricket where the ball is struck and runs are made. See below for more detail on scoring system.

  • The batter can be out if a fielder catches the ball or the stumps are hit.

  • A batter can be out bowled, and caught out by fielders or "striked out" (lbw)

  • Wides and no-balls result in an extra two runs to the batter.

  • Scoring the most runs wins the game.

Scores are calculated after each ball

Scoring and Fielding

Fielding players are hologram clones of the bowler incorporating attributes for catching probability. The batsman will be called "out" if the hologram fielder successfully completes a catch. There will be 5 hologram players for every match with the following configurations: Unlike IRL cricket, in META11 our Athletes don't run between the stumps to score. Instead runs are calculated according to the following function:

RUNS = (Time since the bat connected with the ball + Time taken for the fielder to throw the ball back)/ (time take for the batman to run 1 run)

A hologram clone of the bowler slides in to stop the ball and minimize runs for the batting team
